- Located on the outskirts of Melbourne, is the Ferntree
Gully Watch and Clock Company. As its name suggests, the shop
houses many fine specimens. Come into the shop and you'll step back in time,
marvelling at the array of clocks and watches, each with
its individual chime and tick.
- The owner, Philip Gore, a qualified watchmaker, began
his work from home. In 1984, he moved into the present workshop, which is
located opposite the Ferntree Gully railway station. The shop houses a
wide selection of clocks ranging from the 17th century tavern clock to
the Westminster Art Deco chimers.
- In addition, there is a fine selection of estate
jewellery. See also antique and vintage
watchmaker's tools, as you listen to the
watchmaker in his workshop. You will find Philip Gore
at his shop repairing and restoring vintage clocks 5 and 1/2 days a week.
